This article deals with the social factors affecting rangeland
management in Iran. The main findings of this research are summarized
as follows:
- The social factors, such as sex, age, literacy, occupation, kinship
relations, social stratification, power structures, are very important for
better management of pastures.
- Transferring the ownership of rangelands to nomads and peasants
affecting their attitudes due to a better understanding of rangeland
management.
- The transferring of pastures to tribesmen has had an influential impact
on the social structure of the communities under study.
Based on the above - mentioned findings, it can be concluded that
the use of the indigenous knowledge of the native people is important
in the implementation of the projects concerning the reclamation of pastures
