Abstract

This research deals with a survey of the job satisfaction of the personnels in an official organization in Fars Province. In order to do
this research, the following research questions have been posed, answered, and analyzed:
- How much do the personnels with various characteristics and different motives and socio-economic conditions collaborate with one another in
a given organization?
- How much are they responsible?
- Why do they participate in decision -making?
- How much are they alien regarding their jobs and surroundings?
The total impact of these factors on their job satisfaction has been scientifically studied. In doing this research, first, the impact of
intermediate variable, i.e. , group cohesion, responsibility, ... on the dependent variable has been investigated. The research method is
surveying and the sample subjects are the personnels of an official organization in Fars Province. In data analysis, the advanced statistic

techniques, i.e. , varIance analysis, multi-variable regression,... have been applied.
Based on the research findings, it may be concluded:
- The variable of participation in decision - making has a positive and great impact on the job satisfaction.
- The more alien they are to their jobs and work atmosphere, the less
job satisfaction can be noticed.
- There is a positive and meaningful relation between responsibility and
dependent variable.
- The more the personnels collaborate collectively in their organization,
the more they are satisfied with their jobs and surroundings.
- The independent variables, i.e., age, gender,... show no meaningful
relation to the dependent variable directly.
- Two variables, i.e., "the tendency to do something else in their
organization" and "the attitude toward the function of the organization" have a meaningful relation to the job satisfaction.
