Abstract

Increased tension among factory workers may have strong socioeconomic and perhaps political and security implications. Manufacturing plants in the Iranian Province of Mazandaran have experienced heightened levels of tension in recent times. This study attempts to identify some of the reasons behind these working-class tensions. Respondents in this study were drawn from 9 major factories selected randomly among all industrial units in the Province. A questionnaire was structured to deal with different variables such as: Age, Education, Salary, Job experience, job discrimination, etc.
