In this research, the relation between Iran and the West, based on the survey method - with a sample group of 1200 Iranians - and in terms of two viewpoints, i.e. , the sociopsychological analysis of Erich Fromm and the symbolic interaction of Blumer has been precisely investigated.
On the basis of the research results, it has been concluded that
since the formation of the West relation with Iran in the economic and
political fields has been exploitative and antagonistic, the Iranians have a negative attitude toward the West in general. It may also be said that the more the people have not participated in these fields or the more indifferent they have been to them, the more positive attitude they have
